heute ist es endlich soweit – wir dürfen euch unseren Hauptfilm für die Haunted Castle Filmfestspiele 2026 vorstellen!

Über 16 Jahre hat es gedauert, bis „Creatures“ von Stefan Svahn seinen Weg auf die Leinwand gefunden hat. Umso mehr freuen wir uns, euch diesen besonderen Film bei unserem Festival präsentieren zu können. Gleichzeitig ist es für uns eine große Ehre, mit „Creatures“ den letzten Film von Stefan Svahn, der leider 2024 verstorben ist, zeigen zu dürfen.

Freut euch auf rund 70 Minuten blutigen, trashigen Monster-Horror, wie wir ihn lieben. Handgemachte Effekte, praktische Masken und jede Menge Liebe für die großen Creature Features der 80er Jahre machen „Creatures“ zu einem echten Leckerbissen für Genre-Fans.

Im Film begleiten wir zwei Brüder, die eigentlich nur ein paar ruhige Tage verbringen möchten. Gemeinsam mit zwei Biologiestudenten machen sie sich auf den Weg zu einem Baggersee, um dort eine besondere Schneckenart zu untersuchen. Dass daraus kein entspannter Ausflug wird, dürfte wohl niemanden überraschen.

Besonders freut es uns, dass wir Jens Schütte bei uns willkommen heißen dürfen, der euch „Creatures“ persönlich präsentieren wird.

The moment has finally arrived—we are thrilled to unveil our feature film for the 2026 Haunted Castle Film Festival: Creatures!

It took over 16 years for Stefan Svahn’s Creatures to make it to the screen, making us all the more excited to present this special film at our festival. It is also a great honor for us to screen Creatures, the final film by Stefan Svahn, who sadly passed away in 2024.

Get ready for around 70 minutes of the bloody, trashy monster horror we love so much. Practical effects, handmade creature suits, and a deep love for the great creature features of the 80s make Creatures a real treat for genre fans.

The film follows two brothers who simply want to enjoy a few quiet days. Together with two biology students, they head to a quarry pond to study a unique species of snail. It will come as no surprise that their trip turns out to be anything but relaxing.

We are especially pleased to welcome Jens Schütte, who will be on hand to present Creatures to you in person.
